The Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Teams (APCERT) Conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2008 will be held in Hong Kong in March. The Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT) of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) will host this event. APCERT Conference 2008 is a venue for regional information security professionals to meet and discuss strategic development issues. It also provides golden educational opportunity for the Hong Kong professionals to get in touch with renowned and high quality international speakers to obtain the most updated information.
The first part of the APCERT event is the internal meeting that is for members only. The second part is open to both APCERT members and the general public. It includes the public conference (March 12) and the workshop (March 13). The speakers of the conference and the workshops are either international guests of APCERT or experts from leading CERT teams. They will share their experience in dealing with most updated security attack at the frontier and the new initiatives to combat the hacker and cyber-criminals.
This is a valuable opportunity to learn, share information and network with the global and regional experts in one single occasion and you should not miss it.
APCERT was founded in 2002 and now represents 19 teams from 15 economies, many of which are the leading national or government teams within each of these economies.
